The truth about online school

Kids log on every day,

Every day they open there page to find

Six 45 minute long lectures on how to do something,

Then after that, they work so hard on the assignments

That they barely understand

The screen is bright and makes your eyes sore

You see in a classroom you can feel and see

The passion of the teacher as they

Teach the subject they love with the

Students they love, you can see the sparkle

In the teacher’s eyes and the kids,

The classroom is filled with questions and laughter

The screen is bright and makes your eyes sore

When you watch those videos teachers don’t have that

Same spark in their eyes, now it is replaced by

The reflection of the computer screen,

No longer are kids and teachers sharing ideas,

And moments, but rather sharing their screens,

There isn’t that student to teacher connection

There is that waiting for your WiFi to

Be connected,

The screen is bright and makes your eyes sore

Kids are no more feeling like they are learning

Instead, they are hoping that Google has the answer,

Teachers are concerned because the brightest

Student with perfect grades is now failing,

Teachers try hard to keep up the classroom

Environment, but sitting at the dining table doesn’t feel the same

The screen is bright and makes your eyes sore

Teachers and struggling and students are

Suffering, but that

Is just the truth of online school
